Bay Roan filly, DOB: 2024
Topsy is a striking bay roan filly, born on March 26, 2024, at Montgomery Creek Ranch.
Update October 2024: Topsy has grown up at the ranch, where she’s developed a love for scratches and is quite opinionated about training. Although tame, she’s not yet halter trained and was recently weaned, taking her first steps toward a bright future.
Topsy’s mother was rounded up by helicopter from the Devil’s Garden Wild Horse Territory, a rugged and expansive area known for its wild horse herds, to make way for private livestock grazing in the forest. Her mother was heavily pregnant, though this wasn’t apparent until she walked off the trailer at MCR.To learn more about how you can help keep wild horses wild, visit the American Wild Horse Conservation.
